Off to ATL

Not sure who heard but I recently got laid off at Wood Ways from my office position. They told me that it was a more permanent thing now and that they would stay in touch...the next day I got a call that I could come and work in the back doing all of their "crap work" that no one else really cared to do. At first I was okay with this because work is work, and I need some cash. The same day I got that call I heard from my friend Austin who has been working in Houston, Texas for the past month. He told me that a guy he worked with was quitting once they moved to Atlanta, Georgia to work and asked me if I wanted to come work with them. Sort of a drastic move but I feel like I am at a point in my life where something like this is okay to do, I'm not in school this semester and I have some time to make some serious cash. I will be getting paid significantly more than Wood Ways, and I will be gone from October 5 until around mid to end November because someone is getting married and I think I am the best man or something?! : ) I can't think of the name of the company that I will be working for but what they do is install glass partitions in offices in high rise buildings. So I think I will be right downtown Atlanta working in some big building. I will try to post some pictures on my blog to give everyone a better idea of what I am doing, because honestly as of right now I am pretty clueless. Wish me luck, pray for me...and I'll be home for Thanksgiving.

21st Birthday!

My birthday was what you would call a success. I went out at midnight on the 17th and got my first drink with some friends. On my birthday me and the fam. (and Ty) went to Applebees and Sarah bought me a drink with 7 or 8 shots in it..and then the bartender was so nice to give me a shot, so I was off to a quick start. From there I stopped at a friends that goes to Hope and met up with some people. Once we all gathered we made our way over to the Curragh where Matt, Ty, Ross, Mitch, + 5 were all sittin at a table, and if you know Ross..he is always ready to harass people and buy them a delicious shot. So all of those guys bought me a shot and the night continued to go smoothly. I ran into at least 8 people that I went to high school with so that was fun to see some old friends too. I eventually made my way to the classy bar called "The Parrot"...Left there pretty quick to do a fun walk back to my friends place. El Fin

Sunday Afternoon Drive

So, a rather interesting story for this Sunday afternoon. My friend Jason had some tickets to go see the Detroit Tigers play in Chicago against the White Sox. The game was scheduled for Saturday but called off due to rain. It was re-scheduled for today (Sep 14) and so we decided to make the drive hoping the rain would go away. Unfortunately the game was not called off until literally 5 minutes before we got there. So basically we got there, and turned around just to come home. But that is not all...on the way home we missed an exit while we were on the toll road and we ended up having to go through a toll that we normally wouldnt, after we went through it we did a U-Turn and came back to the same toll only to find out that we had to pay them $6.75 to get through because of our "illegal actions." Anyways...the day was a waste of time...money...gas...but what else can you do but laugh?

My Blog

I thought that I would start my own blog so that I could be cool like everyone else. I hope to add some pictures and talk about random events that go on in my bachelor/live at home lifestyle. :D
